🏆 Sporting Spotlight - October Edition! What an incredible month of sporting success for our pupils! We've seen some fantastic performances, brilliant teamwork and plenty of our Vale Values on display! 🏆 Year 5&6 Girls EFL Cup Champions! Our girls were crowned EFL Cup winners and have now progressed to the County event! An outstanding achievement! ⚽ Year 1&2 Boys Football Festival Our youngest footballers put on a fantastic display, finishing the festival UNDEFEATED! ⚽ Year 1&2 Girls Football Festival Another UNBEATEN performance! Our girls showed how talented they are throughout the event, ready for the years to come! 🥇 Year 5&6 Mixed Football – Plate Winners! A superb team performance saw our mixed football team crowned Plate Finals Champions! 🏅 School Games Festival Our pupils represented The Vale brilliantly, demonstrating excellence and teamwork across a variety of sports and physical activities! A huge well done to every pupil who has represented The Vale Academy this half-term. We are incredibly proud of your achievements and commitment to our school values of Valour, Aspiration, Leadership and Excellence! Coming up next half-term... We're looking forward to even more exciting opportunities, including futsal, athletics, basketball and boccia!

We learnt that the steel pans originated in Trinidad and Tobago in the 1930s, and we enjoyed singing and dancing along to familiar songs. What a brilliant way to end both Black History Month and the first half term of this academic year!

What an incredible experience for the whole school today! We were joined by The Steel Pan Agency this morning, to learn about the history of steel pans and to experience their beauty first hand!

How incredible is our Black History Month exhibition? It showcases the wonderful contributions of our staff and the creativity, curiosity and learning of our children. From exploring printing and basket weaving to learning about the achievements and experiences of others, the children have embraced this opportunity to learn, reflect and celebrate. We’re so proud to share their work and celebrate all the thought, effort and creativity that has gone into bringing this exhibition together.
