The Vale Academy Nursery Travels Back in Time for Dinosaur Day
Butterfly Class in our nursery at The Vale Academy, an Ofsted ‘Good’ rated school in Dunstable, was transformed into a prehistoric landscape on the 28th January as our pupils took part in Dinosaur Day!
All day the nursery buzzed with curiosity as children explored the world of dinosaurs through a range of imaginative, hands‑on activities. Pupils arrived dressed in their favourite dinosaur outfits, ready for a day filled with discovery as they painted erupting volcanoes, set off on dinosaur hunts in our Forest School, created themed arts and crafts, and immersed themselves in innovative dinosaur‑inspired play.
Dinosaur Day wasn’t just great fun, it was one of the many enriching extra‑curricular experiences we offer at The Vale Academy. By blending excitement with purposeful learning, children build early vocabulary, strengthen memory and recall, and develop their creativity, all while feeling safe, supported, and able to explore.
Our commitment to providing unique, meaningful learning opportunities is one of the reasons The Vale Academy is recognised as a leading school in our local area. Events like Dinosaur Day reflect our dedication to nurturing every child’s growth and confidence while inspiring a love of learning.
